More About In-School Curriculum

When creating this curriculum, we did it with the hope of introducing students to dance as a form of wellness while partnering special and regular education students in a joint learning environment. The In-School Curriculum is tailored specifically to meet the needs of both students and teachers and was designed with the classroom in mind.

This curriculum is an all-encompassing program with lesson plans, teacher training and equipment needed to support high schools interested in using our program to create enjoyable experiences for all involved.

All lesson plans build off prior lessons, and both recognize and adapt to meet the needs of all types of learners. Heavy repetition enforces the movements to become a part of students’ muscle memory, which allows all to become successful dancers.

Since safety is another concern of ours, we start with base elements of each dance and move forward from there. Once these steps are mastered, trained high school students will be paired with special needs students to learn the different dances as seen in the curriculum.
